In 2025, Ukraine's trade volume with Guyana increased by 8.6% and amounted to 6.483 million USD, of which Ukraine's exports increased by 6.8% (6.174 million USD), imports from Guyana increased by 62.6% and amounted to 0.309 million USD.

Sunflower oil prevailed in the structure of exports from Ukraine (5.76 million USD), and ethyl alcohol dominated imports from Guyana (0.2 million USD).

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in January-July 2026, the volume of bilateral trade in goods between Ukraine and Guyana amounted to 6.59 million USD. USA, including Ukrainian exports to Guyana - 6.51 million USD, imports of Guyanese goods to Ukraine - 82 thousand USD. Ukraine's positive balance of trade in goods amounted to 6.43 million USD. The volume of Ukrainian exports exceeded imports from Guyana by almost 79 times.

The basis of Ukrainian exports to Guyana was sunflower, safflower or cottonseed oils - 6.19 million USD (95.0% of exports); soybean oil - 264 thousand USD (4.1%); grain crops - 38 thousand USD (0.6%); dried legumes - 21 thousand USD (0.3%). Thus, almost all Ukrainian exports to Guyana were products of the agro-industrial complex, primarily sunflower oil.

Imports from Guyana in the reporting period were represented by virtually one commodity item – ethyl undenatured alcohol with an alcohol concentration of less than 80 vol.% in the amount of 82 thousand USD, which accounted for almost 100% of Guyanese supplies to Ukraine.

Thus, in January–July 2026, Ukrainian-Guyanese trade in goods was characterized by a clear dominance of Ukrainian exports and a significant positive trade balance for Ukraine. At the same time, the commodity structure of bilateral trade remained extremely narrow and highly concentrated: about 95% of Ukrainian exports were sunflower and other oils of the corresponding commodity item, while imports from Guyana were represented by only one main commodity group.
