According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, for 10 months of 2020 the bilateral trade turnover amounted to 5.9 million US dollars. The positive balance for Ukraine amounted to 2.2 million US dollars. Ukrainian exports increased by 45.1% compared to the same period in 2019 to 5.047 million US dollars and mainly consisted of fats, oils of animal and vegetable origin (83.3%), as well as vegetables (13.1%). Imports from Suriname amounted to 822 thousand US dollars, which is almost 6 times more than in the same period of year 2019. The main imports were fish and crustaceans (93.6%), plastics and polymeric materials (6%).
