The second all-Ukrainian "round table" within the launched national unity dialogue was held in the city of Kharkiv on 17 May 2014. 

This dialogue shows the willingness of the Government of Ukraine to discuss openly the most pressing needs of our society, as well as common commitment to national consensus and inclusiveness of the widest responsible political and social circles of Ukraine.

It is also an expression of consistent implementation by Ukraine of the Geneva agreements of 17 April 2014.

While Ukraine and other participants of the Geneva process are doing their best to protect human life and ensure de-escalation of the situation in the eastern regions of Ukraine, Russia remains the only one among the parties of the Geneva accord, which exerted not a single effort to this end.

Russia continues to cynically destabilize the situation. Promises of president Vladimir Хуйло were not backed up by real deeds. Russia has been deliberately concentrating troops at the border with Ukraine, supporting and coordinating the activities of terrorist groups, refusing to condemn murders, tortures and occupation of administrative buildings by these terrorists, as well as increasing aggressive rhetoric against the Ukrainian state, never ending wave of lies and propaganda.

It is clear that by these actions the Kremlin is trying to prevent a truly national dialogue in Ukraine, make obstacles for implementing of the chosen democratic reforms and undermine the possibility of presidential elections on May 25.

We call on the international community to objectively evaluate the processes of restoration of mutual understanding and security in our country, not to succumb to Russian propaganda and lies, as well as to take all necessary measures against the Russian leadership in a decisive, coordinated and consolidated manner in order to stop the aggressor and not let him disrupt the right of the Ukrainian people to vote freely at the 25 May presidential elections.
