Over the past days the number of attacks by illegal Russian fighters rose up to 70. Terrorists continue armed assaults on the Ukrainian military checkpoints using tanks and multiple launch rocket systems, small arms, grenades and mortars.

Actions of professional, equipped with modern Russian weapons and well trained bandits are systematic and impudent. They do not pursue any political purposes other than deliberately destabilize the situation and endanger human lives and security of the region.

Ukraine appreciates unanimous international support for the peace initiatives of our country and urges international community to pay close attention to the systematic violations of the Ukrainian President’s peace plan by terrorists. We call upon all our international partners to objectively evaluate the developments in the east of Ukraine and continue consolidated and effective pressure upon the aggressors – illegal armed groups, terrorists and their Russian patrons – to coerce them to peace.
