President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko gave an interview to Ukrainian TV channels in which he emphasized that the country was doing everything to establish peace. “We can win only by peace,” the President stressed.
Answering the question, the Head of State noted that the triangle “President-Parliament-Government” was unanimous regarding the priority of peaceful settlement of the conflict. “We have an absolutely firm position that we need peace,” he said.
The President emphasized the importance of the international support for Ukraine. He underlined unanimous approach of all the EU leaders. “Values always overcome money and the EU has been demonstrating that for the last 4-5 months,” the Head of State stressed adding that the money Russia continued investing in the information attack on Ukraine was of no use.
Petro Poroshenko noted the importance of Minsk memorandum on the way to peace. According to him, the given document specifies the ceasefire mechanism and creates preconditions for termination of armed confrontation.
“It brings me confidence that residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are tired; they hate armed people and welcome anyone who can bring peace. Ukraine will bring peace to the Donbas,” the Head of State emphasized.
