Head of the State Border Service Viktor Nazarenko reported to the President that the border guards began regaining control over the problematic areas of the Ukrainian-Russian border.
Viktor Nazarenko noted: "Pursuant to the Peace Plan of the President, the State Border Service makes systemic steps to restore the state border in the area which is currently uncontrolled".
He informed the President about his meeting of October 30 with acting Head of the Border Service of Russia following which the protocol on joint control in the checkpoint Kuybysheve-Dyakovo had been signed and mechanisms of establishing joint control in the checkpoints Donetsk-Izvaryne and Matvieyev Kurhan-Uspienka had been defined.
The President instructed to create a "road map" with clearly defined dates "in order to establish Ukrainian control over the checkpoints and ensure customs registration of cargoes".
Also, the Head of State instructed to prepare a report by November 4 on the maintenance of mobile checkpoints in sanitary zone within the frontline in order to prevent the inflow of terrorists.
