President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister of Australia Tony Abbott have held a meeting with members of the Australian group on the investigation into the MH17 tragedy. The President has expressed personal gratitude to the experts. "I am grateful to the members of the Australian group who have been working in extreme and dangerous conditions," he emphasized. At the same time Petro Poroshenko added that Ukraine would further facilitate immediate, comprehensive and open international investigation into the tragedy. "We provide all the necessary technical equipment for the investigation," the Head of State noted.

According to Petro Poroshenko, preliminary results of the investigation confirmed that the plane had been shot down by the Russian missile. "Investigation data indicates that the plane has been shot down by the missile system "Buk-M", which had been delivered from Russia together with the crew of the missile system," Petro Poroshenko has stressed. In his turn, Tony Abbott has noted: "In the morning of July 17, Malaysia Airlines MH17 plane was shot down by militants supported by Russia". He has expressed gratitude to the Australian group for prompt and efficient work. The Prime Minister has also noted the assistance of the Ukrainian authorities in the organization of the Australian experts' work.

Petro Poroshenko has emphasized that the so-called Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic must be recognized as terrorist organizations.

In his turn, Special Representative of the Australian Prime Minister Air Chief Marshal Allan Grant Houston, who has arrived to Ukraine shortly after the MH17 plane crash, has expressed gratitude to Petro Poroshenko for the assistance and cooperation in the course of the investigation. "I would like to express gratitude for cooperation at all governmental levels in the process of organizing the investigation," he has stressed. Allan Grant Houston has noted friendly attitude and solidarity of Ukraine.  He has wished our country success in overcoming the existing challenges.
