On Monday, July 13, Washington (USA, D.C.) will host the U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum, at which the Ukrainian side led by the Prime Minister is going to demonstrate to the heads of leading U.S. companies the investment attractiveness of Ukraine, in particular, progress in reforming the tax system, changes in the energy sector of the country and the privatization plan of Ukrainian state enterprises.
The first U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum is expected to gather about 150 representatives of major U.S. companies. The Ukrainian delegation will be headed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk. The Forum will also be attended by some Ministers, heads of a number of Ukrainian state-owned companies and representatives of the private sector.
Speakers and moderators will be some of the world's most famous investors: George Soros (Soros Fund Management LLC), David Rubenstein (NCH, OPIC) and others.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade points out that the Forum will focus on the possibilities of business development in Ukraine, presentation of those areas where we have the significant development potential. In particular, it will be demonstrated investment prospects of agribusiness, infrastructure, and those sectors that are built on knowledge ("knowledge based economy"): IT outsourcing, pharma, engineering services, aircraft and rocket building, etc.
