On September 8, 2015, the delegation of Ukraine led by the Head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine Liubomyr Sabadosh concluded its visit to Washington, DC.
The aim of the visit was to discuss with the U.S. partners the ways of deepening bilateral cooperation in the sphere of space exploration for peaceful purposes. While in the United States, the delegation had meetings in NASA, Department of State, National Security Council, Ministry of Defense, Congress, as well as with the representatives of the US business. The Ukrainian delegation received clear signals about the existence of plans to strengthen cooperation in this area and discussed the steps that should be taken to practically implement these plans.
The delegation visited Wallops Flight Facility to find out in more detail about the preparations for the next launch of Ukraine – U.S. Antares space vehicle.
Members of the delegation reached an agreement with the American partners to intensify contacts in certain practical areas.
