Minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin held a meeting with Minister of foreign affairs of the Italian Republic Paolo Gentiloni in the course of his working visit to Ukraine.

Pavlo Klimkin expressed gratitude to the Italian Republic for its strong stance on preserving the EU’ unity over Ukraine facing the Russian aggression.

Paolo Gentiloni also confirmed Italy’s unwavering support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and efforts of our state aimed at full implementation of the Minsk Agreements.

8th session of the Ukrainian-Italian Council on economic, industrial and financial cooperation was held during the visit as well. The sides discussed perspective trends of cooperation in energy, agricultural and trade and economic spheres. Particular focus was set on the investment climate in Ukraine and stabilization of financial system.

Following negotiations Foreign ministers of Ukraine and Italy signed the Road Map of cooperation between Ukraine and Italy for 2016-2017 and Memorandum on cooperation for small and medium-sized enterprises.
