President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden.
The Head of State informed on the situation in Donbas. At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine didn’t notice any signs of de-escalation from Russia and pro-Russian militants.
The parties discussed further steps on the continuation of exerting pressure on Russia for it to fulfill the Minsk agreements. They also negotiated political-diplomatic means of de-occupation of Crimea.
Joseph Biden noted the importance of leadership in these turbulent times. The interlocutors stressed the necessity of continuation of reforms in Ukraine, particularly in the context of cooperation with the IMF.
