The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemns the illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine by the members of the Left Party of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Gehrcke and Andrej Hunko on 19 November 2015. 

Taking into consideration the measures taken by the Ukrainian and German sides after the illegal visit of these MPs to the temporarily uncontrolled area of Donetsk region this February, we regard this repeated unlawful action as an intentional and purposeful sign of disrespect towards Ukraine as well as towards their own country. There will be an appropriate reaction from the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies as a consequence of such deliberate impertinent behaviour of foreign citizens and politicians.

We urge all foreign citizens to refrain from actions that violate Ukrainian and international Law, and which do not correspond to the interests of their state but rather serve the interests of Russian sponsors.
