June 1, 2016. Opening of the International Aerospace Exhibition ILA 2016 under participation of Ukraine was held in Berlin. The forum lasted from the 1st to 4th of June 2016 in the exhibition complex “Berlin ExpoCenter Airport”. Ukrainian delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Space Agency of Ukraine Mr. Lyubomyr Sabadosh.

The booth of space industry demonstrated the models of "Zenit-3SL", "Zenit-3SLB", "Antares" and prospective "Mayak-33-4T" launchers, rocket engines, bellows element, spherical tank and others.

SSAU Chairman held several meetings on the sidelines of the “ILA Berlin Air Show 2016", namely with: · the Director General of the European Space Agency Dr. Johann-Dietrich Woerner the administrators discussed further steps in cooperation with ESA; the President of Polish Space Agency Dr. Marek Banaszkiewicz, the Parties among the key issues discussed the order of working groups of experts activities, holding the regular meeting in late June, projects and activities in the area of launch vehicles, Earth observation, scientific research;

During a meeting with the Head of German Aerospace Center (DLR) – Ms. Pascale Ehrenfreund, the Parties discussed prospects of joint projects with support of the EU program "Horizon 2020", the possibility of involvement of Ukrainian enterprises to implement projects realized by DLR within ESA;

Deepening cooperation and identification of new joint projects was the topic of the talks with Acting Chairman of Kazcosmos - Meyrbek Moldabekov;

Within the meeting of experts at the Berlin Technical University the Parties discussed expansion of cooperation between Ukrainian and German research institutes, the prospects of implementing joint scientific and technical projects.
