In the framework of the working visit to Warsaw, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with President of Poland Andrzej Duda.
Andrzej Duda thanked Petro Poroshenko for honoring memory of the victims of the Volyn tragedy in Warsaw and called it a very powerful gesture that will start a new stage in the Ukraine-Poland relations.
The Ukrainian President offered the President of Poland to visit Sagryn village where the fallen Ukrainians are buried.
The parties have also exchanged opinions on the security situation and a series of bilateral issues.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the invitation to the NATO Summit and organization of the Ukraine-NATO Commission at the highest level.
The parties praised the level of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of defense. In this context, they noted the importance of the bilateral agreement on defense cooperation.
The leaders have also stressed the importance of joint successful experience of interaction in the framework of the Ukraine-Poland-Lithuania brigade
Petro Poroshenko invited Andrzej Duda to visit Ukraine on the 25th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.
