In the course of the working trip to Luhansk region, President Petro Poroshenko took part in a solemn opening of “Olympus” sports center where training of Ukrainian Olympic and Paralympic athletes is held.

The Head of State examined the newly built swimming pool and weightlifting hall. He also had a conversation with athletes.

The President emphasized the importance of life revival in Donbas. “It is very important for the whole country to see the revival of Luhansk region. We do not only increase defense capacity, but also create conditions for normal life. This is a priority of the Ukrainian authorities,” Petro Poroshenko said.

The President emphasized that the state does everything possible to support athletes, including those forced to leave the occupied territories. “We have just opened “Olympus” regional sports center. Sports is the best medical insurance and the most reliable protection from diseases. Health of people is a great value of the state,” Petro Poroshenko said.
