The meeting of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko with heads of foreign delegations and the diplomatic corps accredited in Ukraine took place on June 7 at the National Sanctuary "Sophia of Kiev".

President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the management and representatives of the USA and the European Union, which supported Ukraine in its efforts for freedom, justice and European values.

According to Poroshenko, Ukraine will assert itself as an European country. "I have one more European value – it is solidarity. Ukraine requires solidarity as the air and we thank you for the support that the world has given in the struggle for Ukrainian independence. The association with the EU, the deep and comprehensive free trade area Ukraine-EU, the visa-free regime with the European Union - this is my mandate from the voters. Full economic integration and political association with the EU is not already a dream but an agenda for the coming years", - he said.

The President assured that he was ready to sign an Association Agreement with the EU as soon as Brussels would take appropriate decision. "We have to do it no later than 27 June of this year", - he said.

Poroshenko said that the modernization on the basis European standards would be a key to the success of Ukraine, which would allow to resolve a lot of issues. "The world today is with Ukraine. Ukraine is a moment of truth that gives answers to many questions. Ukraine is a toehold and a point of resistance that can change the world for the better. Ukraine is a sign of faith, freedom and democracy. For that sake it is ready to run, to fight, to change. Truth and God are on the side of Ukraine, and thus the support the world", - said the Head of State.
