President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko noted that he was ready for negotiations on the fate of the Donbas with real representatives of the regions’ population willing to hold a political dialogue.
In his conversation with journalists during the working visit to Sloviansk, the Head of State expressed an opinion that to restore negotiations it was necessary to broaden the circle of Donbas representatives.
The President emphasized that negotiations must be “restored with true hosts of Donbas: steelworkers, miners, people who represent the biggest force but have been clamped by the force of weapons”.
The Head of State stressed that he was ready to hold dialogue with everyone who shared his vision of the peace plan for the Donbas, “who is ready to lay down arms, use amnesty, hold political dialogue to elect the new government, who is ready for decentralization of power and wants peace to finally come to the Donbas”.
At the same time, the President expressed confidence that his peace plan would be implemented. “I have no doubt of it. It gained support all over the world, it gained support in Sloviansk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka and Artemivsk. It will be supported in Donetsk and Luhansk as well,” he said.
The Head of State informed that “efficient actions of the Ukrainian army will be continued soon”.
