President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer.

Peter Maurer emphasized that he highly evaluated the international mission of humanitarian assistance initiated by the Ukrainian President. He assured that the ICRC was ready to comprehensively contribute to the fulfillment of the given mission.

The parties reached an agreement that the Red Cross undertakes the responsibility for the solution of all organizational and logistics issues of the international mission. Peter Maurer informed Petro Poroshenko on the intention to send the executive of regional department of the Red Cross to Ukraine.

The Head of State invited the President of the ICRC to visit Ukraine in the nearest future. Peter Maurer accepted the invitation of President Poroshenko with appreciation.
