This was indicated as the result of Ukraine-Ireland political consultations on November 5 in Kyiv. The delegation of Ukraine was headed by First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Natalia Galibarenko, the delegation of Ireland - by Assistant Secretary General of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, Political Director Barrie Robinson.
In this context, the so-called elections in eastern Ukraine on November 2 were blamed as undermining the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict in accordance with the Minsk agreements. Instead, high praise was given to free and fair parliamentary elections in Ukraine on October 26.
During the consultations the parties particularly stressed on the importance of adhering and faithfully implementing by Russia to the agreements reached and its responsibility for the peace process.
Following the consultations the sides agreed to continue coordinating Ukraine and Ireland positions on topical issues of international and regional agenda, including within the framework of international organizations.
