President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is on a working visit to Singapore. The Head of State has held a meeting with President of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam.

Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude to Singapore for the firm position of support to Ukraine. In his turn, the President of Singapore noted that the violation of such principles like territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of borders was inadmissible.

The Head of State said many countries expressed support to Ukraine, for it was the issue of not only Ukrainian or regional security, but also the security of the entire world. The parties discussed the investigation of MH17 tragedy. "Ukraine makes every effort to facilitate the international investigation under the leadership of the Netherlands. We must demonstrate common efforts to prevent such tragedies in the future," he emphasized.

The parties have also discussed cooperation in science and technology. Tony Tan Keng Yam emphasized the potential of Ukraine in that direction, for the country has a lot of prominent scientists. Also, Singapore is willing to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Ukraine.

Petro Poroshenko expressed gratefulness to Singapore for the readiness to share its experience with Ukraine. "We are impressed with the results of your anti-corruption policy, your investment climate, new technologies and new synergies. This is what we also need to implement," he said.
