Terrorism is the problem of the entire world and only if we are united will we win this battle, as stated by President Petro Poroshenko in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos. "We need well-coordinated efforts of the entire world to win this battle," he said.
"Ukraine needs not only solidarity, but also belief. Believe in Ukraine!" the Head of State noted at the session "The Future of Ukraine" within the WEF.
The President emphasizes that values are not for sale. "If we fight for the values together, we will be invincible," Petro Poroshenko said.
President Poroshenko has noted that his country had changed dramatically in a year since his previous speech in Davos. Still, many of these changes have been positive. Free presidential and parliamentary elections have taken place, the Association Agreement with the EU has been signed and the implementation of radical reforms has started. "Ukraine has become stronger. However, the country is facing the aggression not only regarding Crimea, but also regarding the significant part of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. About 9000 Russian militaries are in the territory of Ukraine," the President stressed.
The Head of State has demonstrated the fragment of the civilian bus destroyed by the terrorists' missile near Volnovakha. "For me it is a symbol of terrorist attack on my country. It is the same as Charlie Hebdo. The same as the MH-17 tragedy when the Russian missile shot down the Malaysian aircraft and killed several hundreds of civilians," Petro Poroshenko said.
