President Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Børge Brende who is on a working visit to Ukraine.
The Head of State informed the Foreign Minister of Norway on the security situation in Donbas and the course of implementation of the Minsk agreements.
The Foreign Minister of Norway assured that his country would further impose sanctions against Russia until full restoration of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. “We cannot put up with Russian troops deployed in Ukraine,” the Minister said.
The Head of State thanked the Government of Norway for an active financial support for Ukraine in the process of reforms and humanitarian sphere. “We really appreciate Norwegian support in a very difficult and responsible time for Ukraine,” the President noted.
The parties have also discussed preparations to the future official visit of the Ukrainian President to Norway that will become the first event of such level in the entire history of bilateral relations.
