A delegation of the Plast National Scout Organization of Ukraine handed over the flame of the Peace Light of Bethlehem to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for the first time. The solemn ceremony took place at the beginning of the Government’s meeting on Wednesday.

"We hope that you will get an additional boost of energy to take care of shared property, education, culture, the youth. And may this light which is now burning in the offices of most European leaders, lit for the first time in the Cabinet of Ministers fill it with the good and the peace necessary to ensure trust and support of society for everything you do," said head of the Plast National Scout Organization of Ukraine Yaroslav Yurchyshyn during the solemn ceremony.

According to him, the tradition of passing the Peace Light of Bethlehem has existed for over 15 years in Ukraine.

In turn, the Prime Minister thanked the Plast members for the preserving traditions and for they have brought it to the Cabinet of Ministers.

"We are experiencing very difficult time, but in the end it depends on us, how courageous we’ll be and how we’ll overcome [the difficulties –ed.], what results we can achieve. I’d like this flame were a symbol of peace, harmony, success. I’d really like us to have passed this "turbulence" and to begin transition to the proper standards of living for each Ukrainian citizen", said Volodymyr Groysman.
