Swedish Foreign Minister congratulated Pavlo Klimkin on his appointment.

Ministers discussed topical issues of Ukraine-Sweden relations, as well as Ukraine’s European integration.

Special attention was focused on the current situation in Ukraine, particularly in the eastern regions of our state. In this regard Pavlo Klimkin informed his Swedish colleague on the key points of the peace plan suggested by the President of Ukraine.

Both Ministers agreed to meet in the framework of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg on 23 June 2014, as well as to organize the meeting in the format of the Ukraine’s Friends Group in the EU.
